Aromatherapy Petitgrain
Citrus aurantium
The best petitgrain (usually from France and North Africa) is
distilled from the leaves of the bitter orange tree (the flowers
of which produce neroli), though an oil of less quality can be
obtained from a mixture of leaves and twigs. Like the citrus fruit,
petitgrain belongs to the Rutaceae family. The better the quality,
the nearer the aroma is to neroli although it never quite matches
neroli, a superb essential oil. Petitgrain is an excellent oil to
balance the skin.
